That should help you to remember. But if not, you can do any kind of reminding technique. You could write it on your phone lock screen. Something like:
Are you dreaming ?
You could go as far as me, and just tattoo it on your thumb.
Literally a reminder that says, you know, are you awake or not?
Or you can merely write a note and put it on your electric refrigerator, put it on your mirror .
There ’ s many different ways you can go with this, but the key is you need to be doing reality checks much. so every day and often, but you besides need to be doing them every time you see, hear or feel something strange .

6: Optimise Your Beliefs, Mindset And Thinking Patterns

The next kind of section that I want to break into here is your mind. So when I’m talking about your mind, I mean your expectations, it’s your beliefs, the kind of expectation of timeframe and how realistic it is that you will learn.

And besides whether it ’ s chilling, dangerous, real number, or whether you can get breed or any of that kind of stuff. So your mind and your subconscious mind mind, are like I said, in truth a key separate of whether you can lucid dream or not .
If your subconscious mind does not believe you can lucid dream, it ’ south going to constantly stop you from doing it .

6.1: Write Down Lucid Affirmations Daily

‘And I had this nightmare and it was, it was a bad experience’.
If you read those sorts of things, it’s going to subconsciously make you expect those things.
therefore whenever you read a remark about coherent dream, good or regretful, okay, you need to constantly remind yourself that everyone ’ south have is different .

entirely you can decide what your have is going to be. so if you read a comment from person saying, oh yeah, I tried to lose a dream. And then I got stuck in the shock and then some dragon tried to eat my arms off…
That’s their experience.
Who knows? Maybe they are a horror fan. Maybe they’d been playing too many video games. They were staying up late drinking red bull. And then that’s the dream experience they had that doesn’t have to be your experience, but it will be if you read a comment like that and then expect that to happen.
so every time you read a nibble of information or a comment, ask yourself, do I want this experience ? And this applies not just to lucid dream, but to any information you consume, any headline you read, you need to ask yourself, do I want that to be on-key ?
If the answer is no, then you need to in truth make an campaign to say, okay, this is what I ’ m experiencing.

  • This is the headline.
  • This is the comment.
  • This is the story.
  • But that’s their experience.
  • That’s not my truth.
  • That’s not my reality.

  • Spend the rest of the day thinking about lucid dreaming
  • Do several reality checks in the right way
  • Turn off ALL screens an hour before bed
  • Set your alarm for 6 hours time
  • Wake up with your eyes CLOSED
  • Go BACK to sleep with the intention of lucid dreaming

This is where we ’ ll originate. For the rest of the day until you go to sleep together, think about lucid dream. Read about it, talk to your friends about it, think about what you ’ re going to do in your crystalline ambition. The key is to get yourself focused on what you’re about to do.   • When it happens in your dream, the finger will go through your palm, and you’ll say to yourself ‘I MUST BE DREAMING!’ and you’re now lucid!

A reality check for easy lucid dreams This is just one reality check…

There are many different ones you can do, but we’ve found that this finger palm push test is the most effective one, and it will help you lucid dream FAST. Later on, you can experiment with other reality checks, if you want.

It ’ mho very significant to remember if you ’ re trying to lucid dream tonight that you DO these reality checks. It ’ sulfur no well to just try and lucid ambition at night, the drill begins during the day. And that ’ s the best advice for many people, is just to do more reality checks during the day .
But that ’ s lone a bantam share of the trouble. Lucid dream is a building complex and nuanced skill that can ’ t REALLY be learned in one night, or at least not for many people. Step 3: Turn of all screens an hour before bed

Step 4: Set an alarm for 6 hours or so

Whatever time you would NORMALLY wake up, set your alarm about 2 hours before that. If you normally wake up at 9, set the alarm for 7. Choose an alarm that is going to wake you up but isn’t too loud. My free lucid dreaming app has several of these alarms.

You want something soothe and easy to listen to, and you need to put your phone conclusion enough to you that you can turn it off without getting out of layer, and without opening your eyes. Choose a soft sounding bit of music or a restful note .
Whatever alarm you decide to have, make sure it ’ s not going to snooze, you want it to wake you up one prison term and then turn off. When you ’ ve set your alarm, make certain you have your dream diary on hand with a working playpen on top of it. Have all of these things within compass from the bed, so you don ’ t need to get out .

Is It EASY To Lucid Dream?

No, it’s not easy to lucid dream, because as with any skill, when you first learn it, there is ‘the learning curve’. The learning curve is how fast you can go from knowing nothing about the topic, to knowing enough about the topic to be able to self-correct yourself and improve over time. Lucid dreaming has quite a high learning curve, but you can make it a lot easier by just picking the low hanging fruit, stacking the odds in your favor and doing the basic things in the right way.

What Are The Benefits Of Lucid Dreaming?

There are several reasons why you would want to learn how to lucid dream. The main reasons you would want to learn how to do it, is that you’re asleep for a third of your life. That doesn’t mean we can dream for a third of our lives, but we can dream for our percentage of that third, which is still a long time and you are going to be asleep anyway, so you might as well USE that time.

So you might as well lucid dream, right? It makes perfect sense.
When you think about it like that, secondly, you can practice real life skills and actually improve at those things in waking life. This has been documented. There was a study done about this.
It’s a pretty interesting thing that I think is mind blowing.
The ability to commit something in your dreams and then be able to actually improve it. That thing is reasonably incredible. In my impression, you can besides, and this is, you know, let ’ s not downplay this. You can do anything .
You can possibly imagine any experience, any fantasy, any venture, you can do that. And it will feel indeed very and therefore graphic that you ’ ll never want to stop limpid dreaming. Lucid dreaming does not make you any more tired than normal dreaming, but the reason that people ask that question so often is because if you do it wrong, then of course you will feel tired because certain techniques involve waking yourself up early or interrupting yourself..

I’m talking about techniques like the WILD.
If you do that every individual day, if you constantly interrupt your sleep like that, then of course you ’ re gon na feel tire, but it ’ s not the crystalline dream. That ’ s done that. It ’ s the interruption of your sleep. You could very well limpid dream without waking yourself up and being able to lucid dream without waking up is a good skill to learn .
That ’ s what I would say to focus on is the MILD proficiency. If you do the MILD technique, it won ’ t make you more banal. It, if anything, it will improve your rest quality. But when you do the weight back to go to bed in the wild, you ’ re going to have a bad time if you do them every single day .

Why Is Lucid Dreaming Difficult?

Lucid dreaming is difficult because like any skill, when you first learned it, there is a learning curve. You need to build a skills up that will let you actually do it, and most people lose motivation way before they even get to that point. However, where it gets tricky and scary is that if you are aware and awake during sleep paralysis, it can be quite scary. It can feel like you’re obviously paralyzed because you are paralyzed, but there’s really nothing to worry about.

The thing that you’re most excited about doing, because by doing that, you’re going to be motivated to make an effort the next day, and to try and lucid dream again. So just focus on whatever is the most exciting thing for you.

So the truth is if you’re struggling to lucid dream, the lucid breakthrough course, I really believe will be the best thing for you. There’s even a little video that explains a bit more about it and how it works, but I truly believe that will be the best thing for you.

Can you lucid dream EVERY night?

It’s certainly possible to lucid dream every single night, but it’s incredibly unlikely. Some lucky people are able to have a lucid dream every night but for most of us, lucid dreams happen less than 1-2 times per month, if we practice self awareness and lucid dreaming techniques and habits.

But don’t let that stop you.  There are things you can do to make it more likely that you ’ ll lucid pipe dream, and actually be able to control those dreams. These are proved things that will truly make a remainder to your practice, and they aren ’ metric ton that difficult to put into rehearse either. The things I would suggest you read are :

How to lucid dream tonight WITHOUT waking up early

To lucid dream WITHOUT waking up, you need to have a very strong intention to do ‘reality checks’ later, in the dream. This will make it likely that you’ll realise you’re dreaming and will engage your ‘prospective memory’. This is the ability to remember to do things in the future, like ask yourself if you’re dreaming. 

But here ’ s the hand : MOST limpid dreaming techniques involve waking up early, and then going bet on to sleep. The reason for that is to do with your REM sleep and how your sleep cycles work, but it doesn ’ t have to be like that. I ’ ll explain .

  • We sleep for 8-9 hours per night, and this sleep consists of about 5 sleep cycles. A sleep cycle lasts about 90 minutes, and consists of 5 SLEEP STAGES
  • The last sleep stage of each cycle is REM sleep, which is when we dream
  • Your REM sleep stage gets longer and longer with each subsequent sleep cycle, until you wake up
  • So the LONGEST period of REM is actually just before you wake up, meaning your longest and most vivid dreams will happen about 1-2 hours before you wake up
  • This makes it the most likely time you’ll be able to get lucid, hence most techniques targeting that part of the night

But there ’ s another way. It ’ s to do with your prospective memory. This is your future memory, or the ability to remember something in the future either after a certain period of time, or when something happens ( a trigger ). so if you can train your brain to do something ( ask yourself if you ’ re dreaming ) after a certain time period of fourth dimension, you ’ ll be likely to lucid dream without waking up. And this means you won ’ t need to set an early alarm clock and wake up precisely to lucid dream, it should happen naturally .

It’s known as the MILD technique for lucid dreaming or the mnemonically induced lucid dream. It’s a very effective technique based around prospective memory triggers, and it WORKS. In fact, it’s the main and pretty much only technique I teach my students, and that I teach in my main courses. 

And it ’ s actually simple to learn. here ’ s how to do it :

  • Do reality checks throughout the day (as many as you can)
  • Be really mindful when you do those reality checks
  • Throughout the day, visualise yourself becoming lucid in the FUTURE
  • Use triggers, for example tell yourself ‘when I next see a dog, I’ll realise I’m dreaming’
  • This works best if the triggers are things you regularly dream about (dream signs)
  • Before you go to sleep, set a REALLY strong intention to lucid dream
  • Tell yourself ‘I’ll lucid dream soon’ and plan for it
